About the training

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training provides learners with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to recognise the signs of mental ill health, approach someone who may be struggling, and guide them towards appropriate support.

Courses are delivered in line with Nuco Training and First Aid Awards Ltd (FAA) awarding body requirements and lead to Ofqual-regulated qualifications recognised across England.

  Training is suitable for:

Workplaces and organisations

Education settings

Charities and community groups

Individuals wanting to build confidence supporting others

Training delivered by a

qualified mental health professional

Alongside being a Nuco-qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, I am also a fully qualified and accredited counsellor, with years of experience working directly with a wide range of mental health presentations.

What this means in practice is that sessions are held within a psychologically safe, well-boundaried learning environment, where sensitive topics are handled with care, confidence and professionalism. Delegates often feel more able to engage, ask questions and reflect openly, knowing the training is facilitated by someone experienced in holding emotional material safely and ethically.

For organisations, this offers reassurance that staff are in grounded, experienced hands, with training delivered by someone who understands both mental health theory and real-world practice, while maintaining clear boundaries around the role of Mental Health First Aid.
